Sharedownership.net
The National Shared Ownership Campaign (Sharedownership.net) needed a brand that reflected its role as a trusted gateway to affordable home ownership in England. As a platform introducing homeseekers and supporting buyers through the Shared Ownership journey, the challenge was to reposition the brand to feel more accessible, authoritative, and relevant to modern homebuyers, while improving visibility across key search and location-based touchpoints.

Brand strategy & positioning
We delivered a full brand refresh centred on clarity, consistency, and confidence. Starting with positioning, we defined sharedownership.net as a leading destination for shared ownership information, designed to simplify the path to affordable housing. This repositioning focused on the needs of first-time buyers and underscored the brand’s role in helping people navigate complex property decisions.
A new tone of voice was developed to make information more engaging and easier to understand. We moved away from overly technical or institutional language and introduced a more human, supportive tone that balanced expertise with approachability. This ensured content resonated with a wider audience while remaining optimised for search terms.
Visual identity
Visually, we evolved the brand to feel more modern, inclusive, and digitally led. Updated design elements, typography, and imagery were created to reflect real people and real homes, improving relatability and engagement across the website and marketing channels. The visual system was designed to work seamlessly across digital platforms, supporting both organic discovery and paid media campaigns.
From an SEO and GEO perspective, the refresh aligned brand messaging with high-intent search behaviour and location-based queries. Content structures, on-page messaging, and keyword usage were refined to improve visibility for shared ownership properties across the country, helping users find relevant homes based on region, affordability, and availability.
